HNK Rijeka will travel to Maksimir Stadium on Tuesday, 27 November for an away derby against Dinamo Zagreb. The match, part of the 11th round of the SuperSport HNL, kicks off at 18:00 and marks Rijeka's second consecutive away fixture in the league.

The round's schedule was confirmed on the league's official website. The Dinamo vs Rijeka match is the only one in this round scheduled for a Tuesday. Before that, on Saturday 24 November, Gorica will host Lokomotiva and Varaždin will face Slaven Belupo. On Sunday, it will be Osijek against Rudeš, while Hajduk Split visits Istra 1961 in Pula on Monday.

This is a key part of the season for Rijeka. The team currently sits 5th in the HNL with 14 points from eight games. They have suffered defeats in their last two matches, including a heavy 4:1 loss to Slaven Belupo last weekend. This leaves them five points behind leaders Hajduk Split.

Prior to this derby, Rijeka will visit Rudeš on Friday, 16 November in the 10th round. That match offers a chance for the team to get back to winning ways before the big test in Zagreb. Dinamo will also play a Europa League match against NEC shortly before facing Rijeka.

It is important to note this is just one of two scheduled meetings between these clubs this season. Their original 2nd round fixture, postponed due to European commitments, has been rescheduled for 3 December. That match will be played at Rujevica Stadium at 18:00 and will not be considered a derby.

Rijeka's supporters will be expecting a reaction after two defeats. The coach will have a week between the Rudeš and Dinamo matches to find the right formula. The next home game at Rujevica will be against Dinamo in that rescheduled fixture at the start of December.
