HNK Rijeka has become the property of Black Knight Football club, part of a larger group owned by Bill Foley. After 13 historically best years of the Rijeka first league team, for which Damir Mišković is responsible for the trophy exception, Rijeka is now part of the corporation. The group includes clubs from England, Portugal, Scotland, France, and New Zealand. What does the change in ownership status mean for a club that has so far functioned with one leader, or with clear ambitions in which all resources were directed exclusively to one football team? The new owner of Rijeka is financially very powerful, not just because he is a big boss. Bill Foley is a billionaire, and the net profit from 2022 of his holding company that connects all companies from various fields was $1.13 billion. Rijeka, on the other hand, is a club that has success, very good infrastructure, and importance within its community. In the midst of exaggeration when it comes to money and our football, only the signatories of the sale know the real transaction. However, it is worth noting that Foley paid 120 million pounds for the ownership of Bournemouth. Finance will no longer be a headache for Rijeka, in terms of 'fighting for the budget' which directs and completes the staffing in the first team. The policy of the owner in the context of Rijeka will also be differently profiled, as is logical when you are part of a network of clubs, in which there is a certain hierarchy of interests. The transfer of Danijel Adu-Adjei, who was sent from Bournemouth's youth team to Rujevica, is one example that illustrates that Rijeka will enjoy financial and all other security offered by the boss, but the criterion of ambition will be defined as it suits the boss.
