HNK Rijeka has said goodbye to captain Martin Zlomislić, who is leaving the club after five years. Zlomislić will continue his career at Qarabag in Azerbaijan.
Martin Zlomislić has decided to leave Rijeka and sign a contract with Qarabag. He spent five years in Rijeka and became the captain of the club.
Zlomislić achieved many successful results in Rijeka, including winning the championship and Croatian Cup. He played 117 games and became one of the best players in the club's history.

Currently, HNK Rijeka is in 4th place in HNL, with 41 points, 11 wins, 8 draws and 10 losses in 29 games, and the recent form is LWLLW. The last result was a 2:0 win against HNK Gorica (2026-05-23).
HNK Rijeka will continue the season without their captain, but with new challenges and goals. The club will have to find a new leader and continue the fight for success in HNL.
